Welcome to our Journal.

Created in 2010, VJCL publishes scholarly articles on criminal law and procedure. The mission of the Virginia Journal of Criminal Law (hereinafter, “VJCL”) is to advance criminal law scholarship by producing the publication known as “The Virginia Journal of Criminal Law” and provide the law school community opportunities to learn about developments in criminal law by hosting symposiums at the law school.

We publish one time a year during the spring semester. If interested in submitting manuscripts, please visit the Submissions page.
